UC Programs

The University of California system hosts a portfolio of intramural grant programs from which UC San Diego researchers are able to seek funding.

These programs include:

• California Breast Cancer Research Program (CBCRP)
• California HIV/AIDS Research Program (CHRP)
• Tobacco-Related Disease Research Program (TRDRP)
• University of California Research Initiatives (UCRI)

These programs require review and approval by UC San Diego authorized officials as well as potential compliance reviews. Proposals for these programs must be routed through Sponsored Projects.

There are some campus-based programs that will often award small grants to UC researchers. Reach out to Sponsored Projects if you need assistance to determine any proposal submission and grants management requirements.
