Department Of Defense (DoD)

  • The Department of Defense is America's oldest and largest government agency. With our military tracing its roots back to pre-Revolutionary times, the Department of Defense has grown and evolved with our nation.
  • DoD is allocated the largest level of budgetary resources and charged with coordinating and supervising all agencies and functions of the government relating directly to national security and the U.S. armed forces. The organization and functions of the DoD are set forth in Title 10 of the United States Code.
