Controlled Substances: Training

Learn about training for UCSD researchers who work with controlled substances (CS) for research, teaching, or veterinary care purposes.

Responsibilities

Principal investigators (PI) and supervisors must identify job-specific hazards and make sure personnel attend required and recommended safety training appropriate for the work performed.

Print and complete a New Laboratory Worker Checklist (PDF) for every lab worker. File the form with other department safety training records.

Controlled Substances Training

Strongly recommended for PIs, lab contacts, and authorized personnel working with CS to learn how to comply with institutional and regulatory standards.
