Learn about confined space training for UC San Diego employees who may encounter a confined space in the course of their work.
Employees who enter confined spaces (as defined by Cal/OSHA) during the course of their job duties must attend confined space training before beginning work.
A confined space is a space that has any or all of the following characteristics:
Possible locations include sewers, tanks, boilers, crawl spaces, acid pits, vaults, storm drains, pipelines, bins, tubs, ducts, and vessels that must be entered for repairs, inspection, or maintenance.
