What we do
The Real Estate department oversees the acquisition and disposition of real property, manages development of new campus buildings through public/private partnerships, and provides asset management services for UC owned properties, and leased offices, laboratories, medical clinics, and residential spaces. It also oversees licenses for third-party use of campus space.
Real Estate represents The Regents of the University of California and enters into all real property agreements on behalf of the UC San Diego campus. Real Estate staff provides the following services to the UC San Diego Campus and Medical Center.
Science Research Park
Real Estate manages the UC San Diego Science Research park, on the east campus, which allows the campus to partner with private companies, research institutes, and government entities to support the University's mission and leadership role in strengthening San Diego's biotech/high-tech industries.
