UC San Diego Accounts and Passwords

There are 2 types of accounts commonly used at UC San Diego.

Active Directory (AD) - Faculty, Staff, Affiliates and Students

Active Directory (AD) is for access to email, the UCSD-PROTECTED wireless network, Virtual Private Network (VPN), computer labs, TritonEd, and financial systems such as Oracle and Concur.  Active Directory accounts are used by faculty, staff, students, and some affiliates. 

Faculty, Staff, Affiliates

  • Your Active Directory account will be set up automatically by your department. Contact your supervisor for assistance.

Students

Business Systems

Business Systems is for access to legacy business tools such as the link family, MyServices, and other central applications as well as access to the campus CMS.  Business Systems accounts are used by faculty, staff, and some affiliates.
