Learn about the all-new Marketplace, UCSD's next-generation buying site.
UCSD's all-new one-stop shopping site is now available and rolling out to all campus departments.
- If your department is not yet registered, learn more about Marketplace below.
- If your department is registered, you can go directly to Marketplace and start shopping.

Marketplace is the new one-stop shopping site that brings your department:
- A key tool for cost savings based on more efficient processes and strategically sourced contracts that include environmentally preferable purchasing practices, small business and designated California suppliers
- Availability of more than 9 million items from hundreds of suppliers, including STORE and CORE (Core Bio Services), and expanding daily
Additional Features
- Shopping is a simple way to find items offered by all suppliers available in Marketplace and place them in your cart.
- Approving incorporates automatic routing, tracking, full control and accountability.
- Ordering supports automatic transmission of purchase orders to suppliers, and access to order status.
- Payment allows index assignment, split-funding, and automatic invoice settlement.
- Invoice review provides a view of invoices and electronic processing of out-of-tolerance invoices and those exceeding $10,000.
Marketplace Preview is now
STORE. STORE products are available as catalog items in the new Marketplace.
- Until your department is set up in the new Marketplace, you can continue to use STORE.
- Once your department is set up, use Marketplace to take advantage of its features for your STORE orders.
Confused about UCSD's online buying sites? Here's information about sites you may have used and their current status:
- Marketplace: UCSD's new e-procurement tool, which will eventually be the campus' one-stop buying site, rolled out to the general campus beginning March 2009.
- Marketplace Preview/ STORE: This site changed its name from Marketplace Preview to STORE on March 1, 2009. Departments who have not yet switched to Marketplace continue to use this site until they gain access to Marketplace.
- Storehouse: UCSD's original online buying site. In 2006, Storehouse became Marketplace Preview, and is now STORE.
