DisAbility Counseling and Consulting (DCC) is the division of Human Resources responsible for providing disability management and job accommodation consultation services to UC San Diego faculty and staff who have a medical condition (physical or mental) that interferes with their ability to work or return to work. All disability, rehabilitation services and programs are free.
Services are confidential. All records are kept strictly within the program office and will not be released to anyone without your written consent.
DCC provides educational outreach through both UC San Diego's Staff Education and Development and UC San Diego's Career Connection on topics ranging from disability management, employment discrimination law, job accommodations, networking tips, job interviewing skills and assessing your transferable skills.
DCC chairs the UC San Diego ADA Title II Committee. The committee meets monthly to provide resources and offers collaborative problem-solving assistance to address any identified campuswide facility accessibility issues. For any questions or concerns, please contact Melissa Williams, UC San Diego ADA Title II Coordinator.
For those who are deaf, hard of hearing or may need special assistance with telephone communications, please use the California Relay Service by calling 711.
