Mission

The Chicano/ Latino Staff Association (C/LSA) focuses on providing activities and opportunities to assist in the retention, professional development, and promotion of Chicano/ Latino staff at UCSD. In addition, C/LSA promotes ties with institutional, local, regional, and national organizations with similar missions to learn from and contribute to the overall advancement of people of color.

Objectives

• Encourage, promote, and enable the hiring, retention, and promotion of Chicano/ Latinos at UCSD
• Support and promote the principles of equal opportunity
• Provide a communication network for Chicano/ Latino staff at UCSD
• Advocate and develop educational and social programs for all staff at UCSD
• Promote partnerships with other organizations
• Support and promote the mission of the institution
• Value membership contributions
