The Environmental Management Facility collects, processes, and disposes of chemical and radioactive hazardous waste generated by UCSD facilities. Use 1 of the 3 methods below to request a hazardous waste collection.
Requests must be received before 7 a.m. on your regularly scheduled collection day for waste to be removed that day. Requests received after 7 a.m. will be removed on the next regularly scheduled collection day. See Hazardous Waste Collection Schedule for your collection days.

Notice: Disposal of hazardous waste using sinks, intentional evaporation, or as regular trash is against the law. Campus laboratories must abide by strict state and federal waste disposal requirements. You may be held liable for violations of applicable laws.
