Choose UC San Diego Health: Expert Care for Exceptional Employees
We know that UC San Diego employees have choices about where to receive their health care. Your good health begins with convenient primary care near where you live and work.
That’s why we’ve expanded our network of primary care locations and included virtual options such as video visits and online appointment scheduling at some locations. The UC San Diego Health network includes hundreds of primary care providers (PCPs) throughout San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties. Choosing a primary care provider in UC San Diego Health’s network means you will gain access to world-specialists around the county.
We’re ranked #1 in San Diego and among the nation’s top health care providers in U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 Best Hospitals survey.
This year, we also became the first health care system in San Diego County to be recognized on the Best Hospitals National Honor Roll, a distinction awarded to only 22 hospitals nationwide for outstanding patient care.
Trust us for all your health care needs. Because you and your family deserve nothing but the best.
You Can Make the Switch
Locations: View interactive map at GetBetterCareNow.com and find a primary care location near you.
Plan choices: Most UC plans provide access to the world-class care at UC San Diego Health. If you change your health plan for 2024 to UC Blue & Gold HMO, you’ll receive welcome materials to help you get started. See this flier (PDF) to find a provider (Blue &Gold HMO providers). If your current plan doesn’t cover providers at UC San Diego Health or our affiliated providers, you can choose a plan that does for 2024 during Open Enrollment, from now through Nov. 17, 2023. And if your current plan does give you access to UC San Diego Health, you can choose a primary care physician in our network throughout the year.
Tip: Call us at 800-926-8273 in December to schedule your first (or next) appointment!
