Molli and Arthur Wagner Dance Building

About Molli and Arthur Wagner Dance Building

The Wagner Dance Building was occupied in 2000. Located in the theatre district of campus, this state-of-the-art facility has an assignable area of 9,993 square feet and was designed by award winning and internationally recognized architect Antoine Predock. It has three studios arranged along a curving path, one of which can be transformed into a 120-seat black-box theatre. All of the studios are naturally lit and temperature controlled, with exceptional acoustics. The Dance Building is named for Arthur and Molli Wagner, who generously contributed $1 million to the university. Arthur Wagner was the founding chair of the department of theatre and dance and later the head of the UCSD Graduate Professional Actor Training Program.
