About Sumner Auditorium

Sumner Auditorium was named for the long-time professor of zoology at Scripps, Francis Bertody Sumner, who was also acting director from 1923 to 1924. The auditorium is the largest meeting facility on the Scripps campus and is used for symposia, all-hands assemblies, and conferences.
