About Keck Oceanographic and Atmospheric Research - 3

The W.M. Keck Foundation Center for Ocean Atmosphere Research is a set of three buildings located at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The center was occupied in July 2000 and provides space for research at Scripps. The center consists of three buildings that have an assignable area of 7,213; 6,352; and 3,411 square feet, respectively. Together, they house the SIO director’s office and the SIO graduate department. In addition, they provide space for the marine physical laboratory and the department of climate atmospheric science and physical oceanography. The buildings are named for the W.M. Keck Foundation, a philanthropic organization that has been a generous supporter of scientific research at UC San Diego.
