Connexxus: Booking for Travel Event Planners

Learn how to book airfare online using the Travel Event Planner (TEP) card for authorized events.

The Travel Event Planner (TEP) card can be used to purchase UC-negotiated airfare for non-employee conference attendees or group travelers using the Balboa Travel online booking tool in Connexxus.

To book airfare for non-employee conference attendees or group travelers, log on to Connexxus and follow the instructions:

Before booking travel

Gather attendee information needed to complete the booking: 

  • Traveler's first, middle and last name
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Book travel

Online

  1. From the Connexxus home page under Book Travel, select Balboa Travel.
  2. Select Guest Traveler in the drop-down menu, Choose a Traveler, found in the upper right section of the search screen.

  3. Enter the attendee's personal information. Be sure the name entered is the legal name required by the airline/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA).Attendee information
  4. On the Search page, enter your flight search information.
  5. Make selections from search results.
  6. Select the TEP card preferred for this booking. (TEPC and the last 4 digits of the card.)

  7. Enter the remaining attendee data required by TSA.
  8. When prompted, enter the 8 digit TEP card event number (TEPC and the last 4 digits of your TEP card). Click Next.

  9. Select Purchase Ticket, once reservation(s) are complete, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that includes the travel itinerary.

For larger groups or complex travel contact a Balboa Travel agent at (858) 678-3752 or toll free (888) 617-5005. Have your Travel Event Planner card available, your event number will be TEPC and the last 4 digits of your TEP card (TEPCxxxx).
