Adobe Creative Cloud

Find out about Adobe Creative Cloud campus licensing for UC San Diego faculty, staff, and students.

Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) features access to Adobe's Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, and more with updates and access to new features as they are released.

Spring 2020: Free Access During COVID-19 Period

As a result of the campus closure, access to Adobe Creative Cloud in labs and classrooms is not available. Adobe is providing temporary at-home access for impacted students, staff, and faculty, so that they can continue their work remotely. Adobe's current end-date for this program is July 6th 2020.

Follow these instructions to enable access to Creative Cloud Desktop Apps on your personal device.

  1. Visit creativecloud.adobe.com and sign in with your @ucsd.edu email address.

  2. If prompted, select Company or School Account. From there you’ll go to UC San Diego’s single sign-on screen to complete your login.

  3. From the Creative Cloud website, browse for and download your desired app. Click Apps on the top of the page to view all apps.

Named User License

Available to: Faculty and Staff

Platforms: Macintosh and Windows

Creative Cloud subscriptions are available at a discount under a campus licensing agreement through Campus Software Distribution. These licenses are for campus-owned computer use. This license will cover 1 campus computer and 1 personal (home) computer and is assigned to your UCSD email address.

Shared Device License

Available to: Faculty and Staff

Platforms: Macintosh and Windows

These Creative Cloud Subscriptions are meant for open space computers that are used by multiple users, for example computer labs, and library computers. They request authentication every 1.5 hours and are not supposed to be used for a personal subscription. This license it tied to the machine and not an email address.

Students

Adobe Creative Cloud is not available for students to purchase. There are normally computer labs with this software available in the Library and other locations on campus.

To order a personal copy of Adobe Creative Cloud, you can purchase a discounted license via Adobe's Student/Teacher program.
