Vision
A healing and professional environment where various backgrounds and perspectives are welcomed and celebrated
Mission
To unite the staff of UC San Diego Health System by developing relationships that embrace unity, diversity and enhance the cultural sensitivity of the workforce through enjoyable and educational activities.
Values
- Professionalism – The natural result of acceptance and respect and tolerance for one another.
- Acceptance – Appreciate the differences in people.
- Respect – Treat everyone according to their wishes and their values.
- Tolerance – Approach all interactions with a willing and open mind.
Objectives
- Increase membership of DSA each year by 10%
- Coordinate and support at least three events for the staff each year
- Communicate the vision and mission and success of the DSA to UC San Diego Health System to at least 3 Senior Management and Campus organization leaders each year
Membership
Membership is open to anyone in the UC San Diego Health System community who has an interest in being an advocate for diversity.
Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the UC San Diego Medical Center in Hillcrest, Main Hospital, Administrative Conference Room (ACR) from noon–1 p.m.
