The W.M. Keck Building was occupied in December 2001 and is located in the School of Medicine. With an assignable area of 7,577 square feet, it is home to the Center for Functional MRI. The center houses three imaging systems: two 3T short bore scanners for human studies and one 7T system for rodent imaging. The Keck Building also houses a machine shop and electronics shop. This facility was made possible through the support of the W.M. Keck Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to supporting pioneering research in science, engineering, and medicine. Equipped for state-of-the-art high resolution structural and dynamic imaging, the center is dedicated to enabling advanced studies of physiology and anatomy.
