Campus Budget Office

The Campus Budget Office manages UC San Diego's annual core operating budget process and supports Leadership and Financial Officers across Vice Chancellor areas with budget guidance, systems, and reporting.

Who we are

The Campus Budget Office (CBO) is a strategic and analytical unit responsible for advising and supporting the Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration, campus leadership, and Financial Officers across the campus in the areas of institutional resources, financial and budgetary policy and planning, and budget systems and reporting. In this capacity, CBO develops and maintains the campus budget system and related data, provides analyses of policies and programs, assists campus decision-makers as they determine priorities, and helps develop strategies to achieve those priorities. Its ongoing responsibilities are designed to help secure the operating resources UC San Diego needs, help the campus make the best use of those resources, and support campus-wide planning.
