FAQs: MediaSpace Playlists
Expand section General Questions
No. The visibility of content in MediaSpace is entirely dependent on the so-called "entitlements" that have been given for each individual piece of media. The ability to copy playlists to other channels would mean having to publish that media to the new channel. Right now you have to do that manually as well as recreate the playlist.
Yes. If you haven't already published the media to the channel, adding it to a channel playlist will also make the media appear in the "Media" section in addition to being within the playlist.
Yes.
Use the "Search for Media" field. Kaltura limits the number of entries that will show up in the "Add Items to Your Playlist" section of the page. You'll need to enter some search terms that will narrow it down. If necessary, add a unique tag to the video so it's easy to find.
Yes, if you have the appropriate permissions. If you're entitled to add content to the channel in question, you have the ability to edit existing playlists, even if you didn't create them.
Note that you aren't automatically able to edit the individual media entries within someone else's playlist, unless you've been made a co-editor on the video by some other means.
