How to Upload a Video in MediaSpace

Have a media file that you want to upload to your media repository? Read below.

1. If you're not already logged into MediaSpace, go to https://mediaspace.ucsd.edu, click "Guest" at the top right of the screen and select "Login." Enter your active directory credentials. The screen will refresh and "Guest" at the top of the screen will be replaced with your name.
2. Click "+ Add New" at the top of the screen, and select "Media Upload."
3. On the subsequent page, either drag and drop the video you want to upload or click "Choose a file to upload" and locate the file you want to upload.
4. Enter or change the title of your video during or after your file upload. "Description" and "tags" are optional.
5. Click "Save."

Your video will now be in "My Media." Note that your video may be processing for a little while, during which time it will be unavailable for editing or publication.
