Earning Base

In the Leave Activity Summary Report (LASR) or MyLeaveBalances tool, this is the percentage of time (base hours) the employee works for the LASR month.

For monthly paid employees, this is all base hours reported for the monthly pay period. For biweekly paid employees, this is all hours reported for the biweekly pay periods that end in the LASR month. The percentage is determined by dividing all reported base hours by the total number of working hours. For biweekly paid employees, the number of working hours is either 160 (two biweekly periods) or 240 (three biweekly periods). For monthly paid employees the total number of working hours is based on an eight-hour day, and can be found on the Payroll Calendar. The total number of biweekly payperiods can also be found on the Payroll Calendar.
