Staff Training Program Financial Assistance

Learn about financial assistance opportunities available to UC San Diego staff and departments for career development training.

Career development funds may be available to you through these sources:

  • The Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program (SEOEP) awards funds to:
    • Individuals, for tuition and book expenses
    • Departments, for training and development programs to enhance employees' job skills and prepare them for career advancement
    For details, watch for an "All-at-UCSD" e-mail announcing the program.
  • The UC San Diego Staff Association and some of it's affiliate groups offer scholarships to their members for career development opportunities, including training classes, seminars, and conferences. Membership in the staff association affiliate groups is open to all interested staff (career or limited appointment).
  • The Promotion Project provides up to $1,000 in training funds to UC San Diego departments that promote UC San Diego career employees via reclassification or open recruitment.
  • Your department may have training funds - check with your supervisor or HR person.
