Find out how to get discounted rates for airfare, hotel, and car rental (including insurance coverage) through Connexxus for UCSD business travel.

The Connexxus Travel program offers discounted air, hotel, and car rental rates, for UCSD business travelers. See specifics on:

Airfare

These airlines offer special pricing through Connexxus:

  • American: Refundable Fares (PDF)
  • Premier Gateway: International consolidator fares
    • Review fares online, book by calling BCD/Balboa Travel or UC Travel Center
  • Swabiz: Southwest Business Program
    • Enroll in Southwest's Rapid Rewards program to receive discount
  • Virgin: Refundable fares and 5% off domestic flights
Note: Prices on refundable fares are only available when booking with BCD/ Balboa online, or by calling a Balboa or UC Travel Center agent.

Hotel

These hotel chains offer discounted rates through Connexxus:

  • Marriott Hotels: 15% off (limited to participating properties)
  • Starwood Hotels: 20% off (includes Sheraton, Four Points, Westin, and W Hotel)
    • Enroll in Starwood’s preferred guest program to receive the discount.
  • Wyndham Hotel Group: 15% off (includes Ramada, Days Inn, and Travelodge)

Rental car

The following car rental agencies offer insurance coverage and up to 15% off prior UC agreements when booked through Connexxus:

Note: UC employees and students are prohibited from renting 15-passenger vans from rental car agencies for university business travel due to safety concerns.
