The BlackBerry is a wireless, handheld device that provides real-time access to e-mail and calendar applications through your Exchange mailbox.
To get BlackBerry service, you need:
Service details
- Cost for new service is $6.25 per month.
- BlackBerry service is available 24/7.
- Maintenance requiring a service outage is normally scheduled after regular business hours. Urgent security patches or maintenance, however, may require downtime during business hours.
Setting up your device for UCSD e-mail
For system administrators
The
Messaging Team provides support to system administrators who work with Exchange users, including:
- Setting up departmental resources within the Exchange environment (distribution lists, public folder stores)
- Managing BlackBerry accounts
- Assigning special permissions
- Troubleshooting complex problems
- Providing additional Active Directory information
