If your fax machine won't dial long-distance numbers, especially if the numbers include authorization codes, use this checklist to help solve the problem.

Check the number you dialed.

  • If you dialed the number incorrectly, redial it.

Check your fax machine user manual.

  • Find out if your fax machine needs to be programmed to accept more than 21 digits.
