How to Use Pick-Up Group

Learn how to use the "Pick-Up Group" feature of UCSD phones. This optional feature enables a designated group of phones, all within hearing distance of each other, to answer all numbers within the group.

Note: The information on this page is generally applicable to most phone models at UCSD. You may need to check specific information about your phone and the features available to you.

1. Answer a call in the pick-up group.

  • Lift the handset and dial 1 4.
  • To access the call by speakerphone, dial 1 4 without lifting the handset.
