Calling Cards

UCSD calling cards offer a convenient way to conduct university business while you're away from your office

UCSD assigns employees AT&T calling cards for off-campus calls because of the per-minute discount.

Get a calling card:

  • Ask your departmental business office to submit a Customer Service Request (CSR), choosing Auth Codes, Calling Cards & Index Changes in the Select a Service drop-down menu.
  • Include the name, Mail Code, and recharge index on the CSR. Each calling card can be recharged to only one index.
  • You'll receive your card in the campus mail in 2 to 3 days.

Rates per minute:

  • Domestic (calls originating from the U.S. and terminating in the U.S.):
    • Local       $0.04
    • Zone 3     $0.03
    • Intrastate $0.05
    • Interstate $0.05
  • International (calls from the U.S. to other countries, and from other countries to the U.S.): See rate sheet (Excel).

Note: Many non-U.S. telecommunications companies impose an additional per-minute fee, called an International Mobile Termination Charge (IMTC), for international calls from the U.S. to wireless communications devices. The charges vary by country.
