Configuring Windows 8 to Use Encrypted (WPA-E) Wireless Services

Learn how to configure your Windows 8 Desktop/Tablet/Phone to use Wi-Fi Protected Access-Enterprise (WPA-E) at UC San Diego.
Note:
- You must have administrator privileges on your PC to successfully complete these steps.
- If you're using the wireless card manufacturer's software program to control your wireless, see alternate instructions.
From the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe from the right side of your tablet/phone
- For desktop and laptop machines, move your mouse pointer to the upper righthand corner of your screen
- Click on the settings (wheel Icon)
- Click on the Available Icon
- Click on UCSD-PROTECTED
- Click Connect
- Enter your AD (Active Directory) username and password
- Click OK
- Click Connect
You are now connected to the protected wireless network.
