Web Accessibility: 5-Minute Check for Page Creators

Check your Web pages to see whether they're accessible to people with disabilities.

Once you've read and followed these tips for creating Web pages, perform this 5-minute check to see how accessible your Web site is.
  1. Turn off images in your browser. (Make sure image placeholders are turned on.)
  2. Turn off support for JavaScript.
  3. Try to navigate without your mouse, using only the Tab key.
  4. Try to change the standard font colors and styles in your browser.
  5. Try to increase the font size by using the browser. (Follow these commands: View > Text Size > Increase.)
  6. Turn off support for style sheets.
