How to Install Stunnel for TN3270 Products

You must secure access to the ACT mainframe by configuring your software to use a protocol for protecting data. Follow the steps below if directions for your software don't appear on the Secure System Access page.
Expand all
- Start the download.
- Choose the folder where you want to put the file, and click Save.
- Go to the folder and double-click UCSD ACT Stunnel.exe. Follow the Install Wizard’s instructions by clicking the Next buttons and Finish.
- Go to the folder and double-click UCSD ACT Stunnel.exe. Follow the Install Wizard’s instructions by clicking the Next buttons and Finish.
- The procedure will:
- Install into a new folder in your program files folder.
- Add a task to your startup menu so SSL will start automatically whenever you boot up.
- Add a shortcut icon on your desktop.
- Contact your desktop support technician for instructions to modify your software host connection.
- If you need to shut down Stunnel, right click the icon at the bottom of your screen and exit.
If you need to restart Stunnel, you can click the Stunnel icon on your desktop or restart your PC.
Remember, without Stunnel or other SSL support, you won’t be allowed to access the ACT mainframe.
