Configuring Your Email Client

Learn how to check your Email from your internet browser and configure your email client.

UC San Diego email requires two-step login (Duo). Problems getting email on your Apple mobile device? Fix it now.

Most departments use either Microsoft Office 365 Exchange for email or Gsuite Gmail. If you don't know which platform your department uses, contact your department's system administrator or the IT Services Help Desk.

Setting up your Email Client

Email clients connecting to UCSD’s email environment must be compliant with current security standards. Modern Authentication is the common name for the package of protocols and components that will help secure your email client. Most current clients use the Modern Authentication protocols. Older clients are not authorized to connect to UCSD email systems.
