Work/Life and Policy Development is responsible for work/life programs, personnel policy administration and employee communications.
We manage and/or create strategic partnerships related to the work/life programs which include: workplace flexibility, wellness programs, employee recognition programs, lactation services, dependent care, and more. This includes researching current trends, developing and implementing new programs and serving as the campus expert.
We are the UC San Diego point of contact for personnel policies which includes: analyzing and preparing the campus position on proposed systemwide personnel policy revisions or new policies and develop local implementing procedures when applicable.
Additionally, we work with HR departments to communicate information to campus employees.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Offers flexible work arrangements, including schedules other than 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., compressed work weeks, job sharing, telecommuting, and part-time and partial year career positions.
