Mission

The UCSD Medical Center Diversity Staff Association encourages a diverse faculty and staff environment that promotes the value of diversity, learning, excellence, opportunity, respect, and equality for all individuals. These values allow individuals to develop their full potential or optimal ability in the workplace and society.

Objectives

• Sponsor diversity events, celebrations of cultural holidays, commemorations, and speakers
• Bring diverse people together for the purpose of education and promoting acceptance, tolerance, understanding, and tearing down barriers created by prejudice, fear, and misinformation
• Encourage and promote self reflection, education, and new bonds
• Help make the workplace a better, rewarding, and positive place to be
