The IT Services Governance Committees are charged with:

  • Ensuring transparency in IT planning and operation
  • Enabling good coordination across distributed units
  • Helping provide strategic advantage for UC San Diego

IT Executive Governance Committee (ITEGC)

Review, monitor or advise on:

  • Overall IT governance
  • Major IT system and service change
  • Sustainable funding issues for IT
  • Long-term risk
  • IT strategic planning
  • IT planning and performance transparency

Project Portfolio Advisory Group (PPAG)

Support the IT Executive Governance Committee and other Governance Committees:

  • Maintain and share a comprehensive list of IT Services projects
  • Analyze project size, duration and resource issues and needs
  • Resolvie prioritization questions or conflicts not answered in committees
  • Share the project intake and on-boarding process, project charters and business cases
  • Communicate project status to committees

Instructional Technology Committee (ITC)

Enterprise Information Services Committee (EISC)

Summary

The Enterprise Information Services Governance committee provides leadership and oversight to ensure enterprise-wide alignment of business and administrative systems to the mission of UC San Diego.

The committee shall:

  • Identify and prioritize enterprise information system needs;
  • Maintain IT project portfolio synergy, and;​
  • Recommend major IT investments to the Executive Governance committee.

The scope of governance includes, but may not be limited to, the following Enterprise Information Systems:
