Student Business Services: Mission and Vision

Mission statement

Student Business Services aims to provide effective, customer-focused debt management and campus card services to UCSD students, faculty, and staff.

As a team of knowledgeable employees working in a fun and healthy environment, we strive for excellence through communication and innovation. Our mission is to make each interaction with the university community a positive and successful one.

We will reach these objectives through the development of goals specific to the function performed within each of our business units. As we work toward the accomplishment of these goals, we will abide by a core set of values:

  • Respect — creating an environment where we are free to be ourselves, while honoring the boundaries of common courtesy
  • Trust — having faith that our ideas and efforts will be encouraged and appreciated
  • Loyalty — wholeheartedly supporting each other and our organization through positive thoughts and words
  • Integrity — committing to an ethic of hard work and honesty

Vision statement

Student Business Services will work to create an:

  • Organization that genuinely cares about the needs of UCSD students and staff, provides services that enhance the student’s college experience, and helps other departments on campus to do the same
  • Environment that fosters cooperation and collaboration, continually seeks opportunities for improvement, and makes employees feel good about what they do
