The Mainframe Technical Support group manages the system configuration and administration of the ACT Mainframe environment. This includes hardware, and operating systems and services in support of the core campus administrative computing systems. System performance is continuously monitored and tuned to ensure optimal utilization of computing resources.
The group provides technical support to the ACT development teams, and conducts research on new and emerging technologies. Disaster Recovery plans and processes are also developed and maintained by the team to ensure high-availability and continuity of service delivery.
