Laboratory Technical Training Program

Learn about a variety of basic laboratory training procedures.

Purpose: Laboratory Technical Training funding provides opportunities for UCSD employees to receive practical lab experience at no cost to the trainees or their departments. This program supports the increased diversity of laboratory personnel and is funded by the Hispanic Center for Excellence and the Staff Equal Opportunity Enrichment Program.

Availability: Training may begin at any time, weekdays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and some evenings to 10 p.m., based on the desired training. Training scheduled during the trainee's university work hours requires supervisor approval. Training outside of the trainee's normal work hours is voluntary and not considered hours worked for compensation purposes.

(Applicants are being accepted for this training for the 2008-2009 fiscal year beginning October 1, 2008.)
