Audit and Management Advisory Services (AMAS) assists the UCSD campus and health sciences management in discharging their administrative, legal, and fiscal responsibilities by serving as an independent resource for conducting internal audits, advisory services projects, and investigations, as well as coordinating various external audit activities. All audits are performed in accordance with standards for the professional practice of internal auditing promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
AMAS, in conjunction with UCSD management, develops an annual audit program based on a risk assessment and ranking methodology developed for use by all UC campuses, medical centers and laboratories. They are also responsible for the oversight of external audit activities at UCSD and serve as the entry point for all external audit agencies. Read more about:
