MyFunds: How to Create Projects

Fund managers, find out how to create projects in MyFunds.

1. Create a new project in MyFunds.

  • Go to MyFunds (login required).
  • Select Manage My Projects.
  • Enter your group identifier. If you don't have one, contact your DSA for assistance.
  • Select Create Project.

2. Select the type of project you want to create.

  • Project with IFOP will be highlighted. Click Continue.

3. Enter a project number and description.

  • Project Number: Enter a combination of numbers and letters. The project number must be between 8 and 16 characters.
  • Project Description: Enter a description that is meaningful to you (maximum of 22 characters).
  • Click Save.

4. Enter fund manager information.

  • Select the People/Roles tab.
  • Search by Name: Enter the fund manager name (last name, first initial) and then click Search for People.
  • From the list of results, highlight the name you want.
  • Click the radio button next to Role of Fund Manager and then click Submit.

5. Enter PI/ report recipient information.

  • Select the People/Roles tab.
  • Search by Name: Enter the PI/ report recipient name (last name, first initial) and then click Search for People.
  • From the list of results, highlight the name you want.
  • Click the radio button next to Role of PI and/or Report Recipient and then click Submit.

6. Enter index numbers.

  • Select the Project Details tab.
  • Click Search IFOP.
  • Search for an Index: Enter accounting codes into any combination of the Index, Fund, Org, or Program boxes. The recommendation is to search at fund and org level to get the optimum list of indexes.
  • Click Search.
  • Select indexes by clicking the checkbox next to the index you want or by clicking Select All.
  • Click Add Selected Indexes.

7. View project details for accuracy.

  • Select the View Project tab.
