ECERT: How to Generate an Ad Hoc Effort Report

Learn how to generate an effort report for an employee before the normal scheduled report, or as a replacement for a missing report, using the Electronic Certification of Effort and Reporting Tool (ECERT).
Note: The steps below show an overview of the complete process. If you need more detailed ECERT training, see ECERT Job Aids, or attend the Effort Reporting class.

If you don't have a Single Sign-On account, contact your Departmental Security Administrator or self-register.
- Click the System Administration link on the menu bar.
- Click Generate Effort Report for Employee in the Report Generation section of the System Adminsistration menu.
- Enter the employee ID for the individual who needs a report generated.
- Note: The employee ID must be 9 digits.
- Use the drop-down arrow to select the reporting period you want.
- Click Search, then confirm that the employee information that appears is correct.
- If the information is accurate, click Generate to run the report.
- If the information is incorrect, click Cancel to begin again.
- To generate another report, click Another.
- To return to the main system, click the Return to ERS link on the menu bar.
- When you have completed your tasks, click Sign Out in the menu bar.
