Visitor Information Kiosks

Learn about the UCSD visitor information kiosks, where you can find campus information and buy short-term parking permits.

Visitor kiosks, located at the Gilman Drive (map) and at the North Point (map) entrances, help visitors find their way around campus. When visitors use the kiosks' interactive touch screens, they can dynamically access various types of information.

Parking permit sales

Express service permit dispensers, which allow visitors to purchase a limited variety of short-term parking permits, are located next to both kiosks. Transportation & Parking Services staffs the kiosks from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. daily, except on university-designated holidays. Permits are not sold at the customer service window.

Kiosk touch screens provide information on the following topics:
  • Faculty and staff
  • Student directory
  • Places
  • Departments and services
  • Today's events
  • Food
  • Shopping
  • San Diego information

For more information about visitor parking, go to Maplink. On the "Browse" tab, scroll down to "Parking: Visitor" and click for a view of visitor parking spaces on campus. Or, from the "Search" tab, type "visitor parking" then click "Search" for more information.
