If you're a visitor to UC San Diego, please follow these parking tips:

Weekdays:

You have several choices weekdays, 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. See Where and When to Park or refer to the permit for restrictions and guidelines.

  • Park at a metered spot ($1 per 45 minutes).
  • Purchase a pay station permit:
    • Available in most parking lots or at the visitor information kiosks at the Gilman Drive and North Point Drive entrances
    • $1 per 45 minutes, up to $8 for 6 hours or more
  • Purchase a Gilman pay station permit:
    • Available only inside Gilman Parking Structure
    • $2 per hour, 3 hour maximum
  • Purchase a 1-Day permit:
    • Available at the campus parking office in the Gilman Parking Structure (map)
    • $8 for up to 24 hours

Nights, weekends and holidays:

Purchase a 1-Night permit to park beginning at 4:30 p.m. See Where and When to Park or refer to the permit for restrictions and guidelines.

Parking is free on the main UCSD campus on Saturdays and Sundays, 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. weekdays, and during designated university holidays.

Park in any A, B, S, or metered space except those that post these limitations:

  • A permit required 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
  • Disabled
  • Loading Zone
  • Reserved
  • Service Yard
  • Special Event Reserved
  • U.C. Vehicles only
