1. Compose your ad/message.

When preparing your banner advertisement, consider the following:

  • Messages are limited to 120 characters.
  • Be sure to include the date, time, and location of your event in the message text, if appropriate.
  • An organization can post only 1 message per week.
  • A single event or activity can be advertised only 1 week per month.
  • Messages do not run during summer, winter, and spring breaks.

Note: Shuttle Operations reserves the right to edit messages as necessary.

2. Submit your shuttle advertisement for posting.

Submit your electronic banner ads in one of the following ways:

  • Complete an online Shuttle Message Request Form.
  • E-mail Shuttle Operations.
  • Fax Shuttle Operations, (858) 822-2952.
  • Send your message request to Shuttle Operations, Attn: Message Board, Mail Code 0991.

If submitting your ad by e-mail, fax, or campus mail, include:

  • Organization name
  • Contact person's name, phone number, and e-mail address
  • Date of the Monday you want your ad to run

Messages must be received by noon Wednesday to appear on shuttle electronic banners the following Monday.

Messages will run Monday through Friday for 1 week only and should be submitted no more than 1 week in advance.

3. Check the status of your message request.

To check the status of your ad the Friday after you have submitted your request:

  • Call Shuttle Operations, (858) 534-6282, or
  • E-mail Shuttle Operations.

Due to space availability, messages are programmed in the order they are received. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that your message will be posted.
