News and announcements:
Bicycle breakfasts now quarterly
Cyclists, meet and refuel with healthy snacks at the next bike breakfasts, 7–10 a.m. near the Gilman information kiosk (map). They're now held once per quarter (except summer) due to budget considerations, so don't miss 'em! The next breakfasts are:
- Winter Quarter — Thursday, Feb. 4
- Spring Quarter — Bike to Work Day, Thursday, May 14
Free bicycle helmets
Thanks to a generous gift from Dr. Paul Mills of the Department of Psychiatry, students can get a basic helmet for no charge, while supplies last. To get yours:
- Pick up a $20 coupon at Commute Solutions in the Transportation Services office, level 2 of the Gilman Parking Structure (map) weekdays, 7 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
- Bring the coupon and your student ID to the UCSD Bike Shop. An additional discount given at the register will cover the balance.
- Faculty, staff, or anyone who prefers to buy a premium helmet can still use the $20 coupon, but there will be an additional balance left to pay.
