How to Pay a Parking Citation

You can pay a citation online, by mail or in person.

If you do not pay or appeal within 21 days, the fine doubles.

Pay or Appeal Citations Online

1. Pay your parking ticket online.

  1. Find your citation online.
    1. Enter your ticket number and license plate number.
    2. Click Search.
  2. Pay your parking citation with a Mastercard, Visa, American Express credit or debit card.

Pay attention to the citation due date. If your payment isn't posted by the due date, the fine doubles.

2. Pay your parking ticket via U.S. mail.

You can mail a check or money order made payable to UC Regents. Don't send cash.

To ensure your payment is posted to the correct citation(s), do the following:

  1. Write your citation(s) or license plate number on your check.
  2. Include your citation(s) with payment (if possible).
  3. Mail your payment to: UC San Diego – Parking Citations Appeal Office, 9500 Gilman Drive, MC 0042, La Jolla, CA 92093-0042

Pay attention to the citation due date. If your payment isn't postmarked by the due date, the fine doubles.

3. Pay your parking ticket in person.

Parking offices accept cash, check, or money order citation payments only. Credit/Debit card payments are accepted online.

  • Bring your citation(s) or license plate number to any office location:
    • Main campus, Gilman Parking Structure, level 2 (map)
    • Hillcrest, Bachman Parking Structure, level 2 (map)
    • East campus, East Campus Parking Structure, level 1 (map)
  • Make check or money order payable to UC Regents and include your citation or license plate number on payment.
