When you place an order with an outside vendor, ask the vendor to address the package with the information listed below.
UCSD's Receiving Department is the primary delivery location for incoming packages as required by UCSD policy. The Receiving Department protects UCSD customers from damages and shortages, and deals with any freight claims. In most cases, packages are delivered to you the day after they are received by the Receiving Department. Items that need to be uncrated or assembled, however, require additional delivery time.
In the right place? If you order radioactive materials for your department, see Department Order for Radioactive Materials and follow the addressing instructions.
Note: When you use your Ship To code in a Department Order or High Value Purchase Requisition in FinancialLink, the field displays the complete delivery address. See Ship To Codes for more information.
Important: Make sure the vendor selects a carrier that will meet your needs.
