Read about UCSD address standards for incoming mail.
In the right place? For street addresses, see UCSD Street Addresses and Telephone Numbers.
To help ensure that incoming mail is addressed properly, always use a properly formatted address with the ZIP + 4-digit Mail Code on departmental letterhead, envelopes, and correspondence. Incoming mail without the proper address could be delayed or returned.
Use this format for UCSD addresses:
Sample:
|
UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, SAN DIEGO
JOHN E DOE, SOCIOLOGY DEPT 9500 GILMAN DR. # 0533 LA JOLLA CA 92093-0533 |
Note: The mail code is also the zip+4 code.
Some situations may call for a different campus street address than 9500 Gilman Drive. The following are approved campus street addresses. They must still be used with the proper department and Mail Code.
Note: Avoid using a campus address to receive personal mail. Mail Services retains the right to return personal mail that is continually received for faculty or staff.
