Mail Code Options Monthly recharge Schedule and Location (if applicable)
Pick-Up from
Mailing Center
$50 The pick up location is at the Campus Services Complex, building 'A' at the corner of Voight Drive and Gilman Drive.

Pick-up hours: 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
One Daily Delivery $85 8–11:30 a.m.
Two Daily Deliveries $165 First delivery: 8 –11:30 a.m.
Second delivery: Noon – 2:30 p.m.
Three Daily Deliveries or Late Run $245 Any schedule (once, twice, or 3 times a day) that includes a delivery after 2:30 p.m.
Off Campus $110 Any location beyond 1/2 mile radius of campus.

Establish, change, or delete a department Mail Code.

Establish a new department Mail Code:

  • Complete the UCSD Mail Services Mail Code Request (PDF) form:
    1. Name of the department
    2. Physical location of the department
    3. Index being recharged
    4. Administrative Contact name, email and phone number
    5. Fiscal Contact name, email and phone number
    6. Desired number of deliveries per day
  • Save completed form as a pdf file
  • Go to ASK (login required) to create a case:
    1. Subject: New Mail Code Request
    2. Category: Ship, Receive, Mail, Recycle 
    3. Sub Category: Mail Codes
    4. Attach the completed IPPS Mail Services Mail Code Request form file
    5. Submit Case

Change or delete a department Mail Code:

Change an employee Mail Code.

Change a staff or faculty member's Mail Code in the UCSD Directory:

Note: It is the department's responsibility to forward all mail for staff, faculty, or students associated with the department.
