How to Request Equipment From Imprints

Imprints, UCSD's Print Resource Center, provides multifunctional machines to departments and units on and off campus. Follow these steps to request a new or replacement machine.

1. Gather information for Imprints.

When you request a new machine, Imprints will need the following information:

  • The name, phone number, and email address of the department contact (key operator)
  • Any space restrictions
  • Desired machine features
  • Anticipated monthly volume—required if not replacing another Imprints provided machine
  • Preferred billing method
  • Budgetary restrictions
  • The name, phone number, and Mail Code of your department's financial contact

If you request a replacement for an Imprints provided machine, the current machine number will be required.

2. Submit an Equipment Request Form.

  1. Print and complete the Equipment Request Form (PDF).
  2. Submit the completed form to Imprints in one of three ways:
    1. Mail it to Imprints at Geisel Library, Mail Code 0175-I
    2. Fax it to (858) 534-8811
    3. Email it to Gina Webb

With necessary authorizations, the process generally takes two to three weeks but can range from one week to several months, depending on availability of equipment selected.
